THE CIRCLE (Episode 3- BACK HOME)

Sunday

I sleep till 9am. I'm exhausted from yesterday.

12pm
I pack my stuff and go into school.

My phone rings. Its Ijay, my nursing boo. "Young lady, are you back?"

I'm on my way into school.

Will you go for ASF by 3?

Sure. I didn't go to church.

Are you in your room? I'm hungry.

Yes ma. My sister brought rice and chicken.

Chicken?? Yupee!! I'm on my way. Keep my share o.

Yes ma.

I pass through Marierie to collect my change from the dry canteen.
From a distance, I sight Eguh Chioma fetching water from Adelabu well.
She calls me before I call her.

"Jor Jor, shey you didn't go to church on a Sunday?" I will tell your brother. You have joined bad gang.

"Hahaha. Did you go?"

Eheh na. I'm back already.

Chioma!!! I exclaim

"I'm serious".

Ok na. Is Amara around?

I think so. I saw her some minutes ago.

Bye. I'm hungry.

Go and eat before you disappear.

Hahahaha.

I meet Amaka Eze and Mirabel at my hostel's canteen. They are on their way from church.

"Ushers!" I hail them.

Jor Jor, whatsup Mirabel says.
Justina whatsup? Your hair is nice. Shebi you didn't go to church? Amaka adds

Chika Onu is coming out of her hall governor's room.

"Chikito" I say. "You've not gone home?"

I just came to pick something. I'm going back.

"Enjoyment".

I climb upstairs and leave Amaka, Mirabel and Chika to finish up their gist.

My friend Ijay is using the Wifi service in front of her room

"Awoof dey run belle o" I call out to her.

"Waka waka, are you back?" She asks.

Hope my rice is ready.

See your mouth. Efi.

I laugh.

Chika Okafor is washing plates infront of her room

"Neighbourson oho oho!" She screams as soon as she sees me.

"Chikason International,", I reply.

My room mate, Muna is in. Her friends are with her.

She hugs me.

"Jor Jor, I've missed you"

"I've missed you too.. In my dreams tho"

You're so mean, Jor Jor. Tufia!!

Muna is a darling.

3:10pm
Ijay and I leave for fellowship. We are 10mins late. Thanks to me.
We meet Nnaemeka Ugwu downstairs. He's the worship leader for the day.
Few minutes later, He climbs the stage. I ascend into the heavenlies.
That guy is an Angel.

To be Continued...

Lagos Na Wa : 5

I write this with my face covered. Please don't laugh at me. Remember Lagos Na Wa Episode 1 where I shared the tale of how I almost was taken to  Seme border?  If you didn't read it, go through my wall. It is some where there. So after the Lagos tour,  my rectum was dilated and ready to spill meaning I was pressed. I wanted to poop. Jesu! The urge was so strong and as soon as the bus entered the Island,  it intensified. I carried my bum bum with the poo ready to drop and sat in the bus. I got to Elegushi  bus stop,  alighted. A man I asked for directions to pointed at ahead of him and said that was the gate of the  Estate I was looking for. I ignored the Okada men at the bus stop and started trekking because I was scared of what the speed and bumps would do. That turned out to be a bad decision. Left,  right,  right and left. No gate insight. I convinced myself that I could do it. God knows I couldn't. My ancestors were just la...

Lagos Na Wa :4

Written on August 15th at 10:42am Happening now I'm on my way to the office The office driver just pointed out something to us Along Lekki - Epe express way,  there is a body cut in two on the road. I can't detect where it is a man or a woman Half of the body; from the waist down is lying on the road. We cannot see the other half It wasn't there when we drove past last night The accident must have happened in the middle of the night or early this morning Or could it be the handwork of ritualist and kidnappers? Could they have dragged it out to the road themselves? The Road Safety men are directing commuters so they don't run over the body I'm scared now #LagosNaWa #JayTeeSays
